Booking.com shares insights on destinations that are capturing the interest of Indians this rainy season
Booking.com’s Travel Trends for 2024 reveals 53% of Indian travellers mentioned they are seeking destinations renowned for their beautiful natural scenery, followed by 39% who are keen on exploring the mountains and 31% who expressed interest in visiting iconic landmarks.
To make the most of the rainy season, Indians are looking at exploring the mountains, the beaches and soaking in some natural beauty. Besides metros, leisure destinations such as Lonavala, Udaipur, Jaipur, Ooty and Mussoorie are among the most searched destinations this rainy season.

Indians are also looking at international escapes during this season. Dubai, Singapore and Colombo are the top trending short-haul destinations whereas long-haul travel preferences lean towards destinations like London, Paris and Amsterdam.
