The pandemic has a new era of ‘Workcation’ where working can be as fun and refreshing as vacations. Uttarakhand Tourism is inviting professionals to come to Naukuchaiatal, Mukteshwar, Lansdowne, Shivanandi Village (Rishikesh), Kausani, Ranikhet, Almora, Dhanaulti, Rudraprayag, Mussorie and Nainital amongst others.
Satpal Maharaaz, Tourism Minister of Uttarakhand, said, “To create job opportunities in the state, we started the homestay scheme under which houses are getting converted into homestays in the villages and locations which are less explored. Following all the covid protocols and bringing covid negative report one can visit Uttarakhand and work from these locations where they will be served traditional dishes and one will get to know more about the rich cultural heritage of Uttarakhand. We also endorse tourists to list our best places and add it to their bucket list once everything is normal.”
Dilip Jawalkar, Tourism Secretary of Uttarakhand, added, “We are continuously working to build good infrastructure and equip our homestays with better facilities, especially in our offbeat locations. Some of our homestays have also started wellness-related activities like Yoga, Meditation, Panchakarma which has improved tourists stay experience.”
