Bikram Keshari Arukha, Minister, Forest, Environment & Climate Change, and Parliamentary Affairs, Govt. of Odisha recently laid the foundation for aerial ropeway at Nandankanan Zoological Park. The ropeway is being built by Damodar Ropeway and Infra Limited (DRIL).
The ropeway will have 12 cabins with a capacity of 6 persons per cabin. Once completed, the ropeway will add to the tourist attraction at the park spread over 437-hectare in Bhubaneswar, Odisha. A premier large zoo of India, Nandankanan is built right inside the forest and set in a completely natural environment.
Talking about the development, ditya Chamaria, Managing Director, DRIL, said, “We are the only company in India with a spotless and accident-free record in passenger safety for more than 5 decades since inception. We are delighted to start this project and hope that we will help increase the number of visitors to the zoological park.
