LAN Airlines has been awarded the the “Leading Airline in South America” in the World Travel Awards 2013 (WTA) for the second consecutive year. LAN Peru President of the Board of Directors, Emilio Rodríguez Larraín, received the award on behalf of the LATAM Airlines Group.
The carrier was recognised for its achievement based on leadership and commitment as well as the implementation of a clear corporate vision, consistency in operation, and attentive customer service.
Other considerations for the award included; quality of food service, most comfortable cabins, best Business Class service, best in-flight technology and entertainment, best VIP lounges and most on-time airline for arrivals and departures.

This is the fourth time that the company has received this important recognition. In 2012 and 2007, LAN received the award in the same category as “Leading Airline in South America,” and in 2005 as “Leading Airline in South America in Business Class.”
