Having very successfully grown as a joint venture since 2005 under the joint stewardship of the Select Group and TUI Travel PLC (TUI Travel), Le Passage to India (LPTI) is about to enter the next phase of its exciting growth journey following TUI Travel increasing its stake in the LPTI. LPTI comprises two distinct businesses which are both well-placed to take advantage of the significant opportunities in the Indian market. LPTI provides inbound and MICE destination management services and ‘TUI India’ operates as a domestic and outbound tour operator. With two complementary businesses trading from a position of strength with market-leading brands, TUI Travel is well-placed to strengthen and grow its position in each of the inbound, domestic and outbound travel market segments in India.
Arjun Sharma has played a key role in LPTI’s success, building not only a great business but also leading-edge management and operations teams. Sharma is committed to continuing his hands-on approach to developing and growing the business and TUI Travel is delighted that he now assumes the position of Managing Director for Inbound, as well as assuming the role of President of the company.
