Skal International Hyderabad Chapter wins bid to host Skal World Congress in at Hyderabad. In nail biting close contest, Hyderabad got 136 votes and Bangkok 33 to host the congress.
After many years of hard work, the bid was voted in favour of Hyderabad in a Skal World Congress 2015 held recently in Spain. This information was revealed by Vijay Mohan Raj, President, Skal Hyderabad Chapter. The Congress will be held from October 5 – 8, 2017. Nearly 3000 delegates from 83 countries from all over the world are expected to take part, he informed.
Speaking further, Raj said that this winning bid will give a great boost to inbound tourism to India. The event will also provide us an opportunity to showcase Hyderabad to the travel and tourism professionals of most international destinations, he added. Raj also thanked K.T. Rama Rao, Minister for IT, Govt of Telangana for his moral support in bringing the Congress to Hyderabad.
Skal is a professional organisation of tourism leaders around the world with 16,199 members in 382 clubs from 83 countries.
