Goomo has launched its new campaign ‘Join the Sisterhood’ on the occasion of International Women’s Day. The socially-driven initiative from Goomo is aimed at strengthening the cause of entrepreneurship amongst rural Indian women and promoting ecotourism by giving travelers an opportunity to explore India in its undiscovered glory.
Goomo has curated two differentiated travel excursions to Pondicherry and Jodhpur under the ‘Join the Sisterhood’ campaign, with several engaging activities planned under each itinerary. Commenting on the announcement, Sonia Mehta, CBO, Goomo, said, “… With this unique campaign, not only are we giving our customers an opportunity to explore a facet of India that they are less familiar with, but are also promoting ecotourism and micro-entrepreneurship that gives local businesses a big boost. This is our way of putting the focus on rural India’s local communities and the women entrepreneurs leading them.”
As part of the specially curated tours, travelers will have an opportunity to meet and interact with the locals at both Pondicherry and Jodhpur. These tours will include visits to local cafés, farms, and workshops of artisans and craftsmen, allowing travelers a rare glimpse into the lives of various communities that reside in less explored parts of the country.
