Thomas Cook signs MoU with Tourism New Zealand

Thomas Cook (India) has been selected as a preferred partner for the Tourism Industry Partnership (TIP) Programme between Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) and Immigration New Zealand (INZ). The TIP programme between Tourism New Zealand and Immigration New Zealand will focus on streamlining the visa process for Indian visitors to New Zealand.

Through this partnership, Indian leisure travellers will benefit from a more streamlined visa service with a faster processing time of three days compared to the previous online application processing time of 15 days.

Thomas Cook reveals that New Zealand has been emerging as a popular destination amongst not only the family segment but also millennial travellers looking for adventure and experiences that include river rafting, hiking, bungee jumping, sky diving, self drive in addition to experiencing New Zealand’s spectacular scenery. Through this partnership, Thomas Cook India will be entitled to the benefit of this new visa process, thus making it easier for Indians to travel to New Zealand.

This programme provides us with an advantage of faster processing of visitor visa applications from 15 days to three days for nationals of India who want to travel to New Zealand.”

He further added, “We have seen a strong and steady growth of travellers heading to New Zealand; with a growth of more than 19 per cent over the last few years, it has turned into a key market for Thomas Cook India. This new visa process will make it even easier for Indian travellers to experience New Zealand and we are confident of seeing higher uptake.”
