Singapore-based budget carrier Tigerair has announced the launch of new non-stop service between Singapore to Lucknow. Starting from December 3, Tigerair will be the only airline providing non-stop flights between Changi International Airport and Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport thrice a week. The flights to Lucknow will be available three days a week operating on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
Tigerair already flies to five Indian cities in South – Chennai, Bangalore, Trichy, Hyderabad and Kochi. The addition of Lucknow route will mark Tigerair’s foray into North India.
“Lucknow is our first destination in our routemap from North India. We hope that the direct flights from Lucknowto Singapore will be helpful to boost tourism between the two countries.” said Teh Yik Chuan – Sales and Marketing Director for Tigerair Singapore.
With government-cum-business delegations from Singapore evincing interest in Lucknow’s infrastructure projects such as the proposed IT City, Night Safari at Greater Noida and the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, it has been witnessed that Lucknow is increasingly being viewed as a lucrative investment destination for Singaporeans.
Tigerair currently operates a total of 41 weekly flights to Singapore from five Indian destinations.
