Accor India and South Asia joined hands with India Vision Institute for a vision screening campaign, supporting over 16,000 disadvantaged children in Delhi and Chennai. The screening campaign aims to benefit children from government and tribal schools in Delhi – NCR and Chennai, by having the best possible vision and continuing studies effectively.
Commenting on the initiative, Puneet Dhawan, Senior Vice President, Operations, Accor India, said, “Such activities allow us to make a tangible impact on the less fortunate and help showcase our commitment to empowering children with vision. We are proud of our association with the India Vision Institute to help achieve their mission of providing access to vision screenings and free spectacles.”
Vinod Daniel, CEO of India Vision Institute said: “We are happy to have been a part of the program with Accor India and South Asia that has benefited over 16,000 underprivileged school children in Delhi NCR and Chennai. We are providing free corrective glasses to children found to have refractive errors”.
The campaign commenced on September 8 in Delhi, followed by Chennai on September 12, and will continue until the end of December 2022.
