AdlabsImagica, situated on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, recently opened to the public. “Our entertainment theme park is finally open to public and we want AdlabsImagica to be known as an ideal family destination. Continuous endeavours will be undertaken to ensure we are bettering our travel liaisons in order to provide the customer with a wholesome experience,” Manmohan Shetty, Chairman, Adlabs Entertainment Limited, said.
The theme park currently has 21 attractions, motion stimulation rides, four restaurants, and retail options. “In the next one year, we will be starting a water park and hotel, which will take the total investment in the project to Rs 1,650 crores,” he said adding that two-thirds of the total project cost has been funded through debt, while the remaining is equity.
Commenting on Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) recognising AdlabsImagica as one of the most important tourist attraction in the state, Pooja Shetty, Joint Managing Director, Adlabs Entertainment Limited said, “We are very happy that the state tourism board has supported this project. We look forward to working closely with them further and tying up with them.”
AdlabsImagica has also tied up with tour operators all over India including Kesari Tours, Neeta Tours and Travels and many more as part of its travel and trade programme to capitalise on tourist footfall to its theme park. “While the engagement with the travel trade will be long term, AdlabsImagica aims to have a strong trade education programme in key markets, including Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad and Delhi. We have also introduced a B2B portal where the travel partners will have individual logins and accounts enabling them to sell AdlabsImagica tickets and packages,” Manmohan Shetty said, adding that an advanced tracking and reporting structure has been built to facilitate the portal to keep a track on their entire sales and credit history.
Elaborating on their relationship with the trade Pooja Shetty said, “The selected tour operators will function as Preferred Sales Agents (PSAs) for the theme park. “AdlabsImagica’s PSAs also include Pathfinders Holidays from Ahmedabad, Bhagyashree Travels from Pune, and Lohana Tours from Mumbai,” she said.
The company expects to see a footfall of about two to three million a year. The tickets will be priced at Rs 1,250 on weekdays and Rs 1,500 on weekends. Manmohan Shetty plans to set up a second theme park in by the end of the year. The location is yet to be disclosed.
