Opening of the ADTOI Chapter in the state of Uttarakhand is an important milestone for the state and this would boost the Domestic Tourism in Uttarakhand – Poonam Chand
Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) inaugurated their 13th State Chapter of Uttarakhand on April 22, 2024. The ceremony took place at Hotel Moniack Garden, Dehradun. The Inauguration was well attended by ADTOI members and stakeholders of tourism and Hospitality industry of Uttarakhand. The Chapter is led by Chapter Chairman Mahender Ghildiyal of Mahendra Destinations Pvt. Ltd. Others on the committee include Chapter Secretary Mohit Gupta of Alpine Adventure, Treasurer Sunil Kumar Saini of India Easy Trip Pvt. Ltd and the Advisor Praveen Sharma of Chevron Hotels & Resorts Pvt. Ltd.
Speaking on the occasion, ADTOI National President, PP Khanna emphasised the importance of Uttarakhand being a nerve centre of the Pilgrim and spiritual tourism and that the Char Dham attracts lot of domestic tourists. He also elaborated on the importance of wildlife tourism and pristine beauty of hill stations which is in great abundance in the state. He expressed confidence that with the opening of the Chapter the state would see a great boost in tourism and would facilitate networking among ADTOI members pan India with the chapter to promote the state of Uttarakhand.
Poonam Chand, Additional Director of Tourism stated that opening of the ADTOI Chapter in the state of Uttarakhand is an important milestone for the state and this would boost the Domestic Tourism in Uttarakhand.
The event was attended by Khanna along with Rajat Sawhney, Sr. Vice President, Ashish Sehgal, Vice President, Ved Khanna, Treasurer and Manoj Varshney, Jt. Secretary. Senior State tourism officials Poonam Chand, Additional Director of Tourism; Yogendera Kumar Gangwar, Joint Director Tourism, along with Sandeep Sahni, President of Hotel Association of Uttarakhand and Bhaskar Dimri, Member of Badri & Kedarnath Nath Temples Committee, were also present on the occasion.
