Akasa Air starts operations from Varanasi, as its 14th destination and marks the airline’s second destination launch in the state of Uttar Pradesh, easing connectivity with daily flights from Lucknow and Varanasi to metro cities across India.
Tourism in Varanasi has witnessed a phase of euphoria, as the city recorded tourist footfall rising to a whooping 7.3Cr in 2022, owing to more than 40 investors from local and established tourism brands signing MoUs with the tourism department.
