The Adventure Tour Operators Association of India (ATOAI) recently announced that it will hold its 11th annual convention in Shivpuri, Uttarakhand from March 25-27, 2014. This year the convention will focus on drawing attention to the rapidly changing environment and chalking out a plan for the preservation of the environment, incorporation of Sustainable Tourism practices and dissemination of the same among industry stakeholders, and also sensitise travellers. The Association expects 400 delegates to participate in the convention.
Sharing details about the convention, Akshay Kumar, President, ATOAI, said “ In the light of the recent natural disaster, this is the time to give back to the state.We promise that the experience of being a part of the convention this year will be quite unforgettable. Besides including various adventure activities, the convention programme is being designed to give ample networking opportunities, unique learning experiences and a good platform to understand the emerging challenges of the Adventure Tourism business.”
Rajesh Ohja (Executive Committee Member, ATOAI) is the Convention Chairman, while Vinayak Koul (Executive Committee Member, ATOAI) and David K Singh (Hon. Treasurer, ATOAI) are the Co-chair for the convention.
