British Airways commenced its sixth direct service to Hyderabad from London with effect from 5 April 2013. Offering convenient connections to the rest of the UK, Europe and over 200 destinations in North America, British Airways will provide a choice of three cabins, Club World business class, World Traveller plus premium economy and World Traveller economy to its customers from Hyderabad.
“This is an excellent news for our customers in Hyderabad who can now enjoy enhanced flight frequency as well as our best-in-class on board services. At British Airways, we always keep customers at the heart of all decision making and try to provide what customers want from us,” Christopher Fordyce, Regional Commercial Manager, British Airways, South Asia, said.
“India is a strategic market for us and the increase in services from Hyderabad reiterates our commitment to the market. We have been gaining a steady market share in India and this development marks a 20% increase in our general capacity from Hyderabad. Customers will also have the flexibility to come home over the weekend to be with their friends and families.”
British Airways has committed to spend more than £5 billion globally on customer products and services over the next five years. The investment will see British Airways customers benefiting from new aircraft, new World Traveller and World Traveller Plus cabins, a revamped First class, significant improvements at Gatwick and better lounges around the airline’s network.
