Leading luxury train Deccan Odyssey is planning to come up with attractive short tour packages for domestic tourists. “We do get domestic tourists, but we have planned and strategised to come up with short tour packages for Indian tourists,” said Arup Sen, director (special projects), Cox and Kings, said during an interaction with reporters. Cox and Kings is the operator of the Deccan Odyssey.
The interaction was organized to showcase the grandeur and splendour of the train to the media and tour operators who are participating at the Great India Travel Bazaar. The luxury train with its unique features is one of a kind that offers exclusive trips to royal cities showcasing the palaces, monuments, the traditions and culinary wonders of cities and villages well protected from the sands of time.
The train currently attracts tourists mostly from the Great Britain, the US, Australia and the Middle-East.
“In the palatial train, you discover more than one facet of India on any of the enchanting journeys. The moving palace takes you through Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Andhra Pradesh, Goa and Delhi depending on your choice of itinerary. Maharashtra Splendor, Maharashtra Wild Trail, Hidden Treasures of Gujarat, Jewels of the Deccan, Indian Odyssey and Indian Sojourn are the magnificent trips that Deccan Odyssey embarks on, showcasing the rich and diverse landscapes of India,” Sen said.
The Deccan Odyssey treats each of their guests to unprecedented luxury on wheels and it consists of 21 luxury coaches.
The Deccan Odyssey also offers cabins for guests with special needs, designed keeping in mind with special requirements.
