Govt of NCT of Delhi has announced the Mukhya Mantri Tirath Yatra Yojna that offers free of cost travel packages for five key religious circuits for senior citizens of Delhi. 1100 senior citizens from every constituency of Delhi will be able to avail this facility. Benefitting from the scheme, 77000 senior citizens can travel to destinations like Vaishno Devi, Haridwar, Amritsar, Ajmer, Agra among many others, commencing mid- December, 2018.
To facilitate a seamless coordination for the Mukhya Mantri Tirath Yatra Yojna, Delhi Tourism Transportation Development Corporation Ltd (DTTDC) has signed a MoU with Indian Railways & Catering Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), Ministry of Railways, in the presence of Hon’ble Dy Chief Minister, Delhi at the Delhi Secretariat, today.
The following 5 religious sectors have been selected for the Tirath Yatra Yojna : Vaishno Devi-Jammu, Vrindavan-Mathura-Barsana-Agra-Fatehpur sikri, Haridwar-Rishikesh-Neelkanth, Ajmer-Pushkar and Golden Temple-Wagah Border-Anandpur Sahib.
