With an aim to work as partners in the Indian travel and tourism trade industry, Enterprising Travel Agents Association (ETAA) and IATA Agents Association of India (IAAI) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Mumbai. Through this partnership, both associations become affiliate member of each other, enlarging their membership base. Their aim is to reach a wider audience, and work on the strengths and reach of each other’s association.
Commenting on this occasion Karl Dantas, President, ETAA said, “This association will synergise our strengths as well as our aims and objectives to work persistently for the advantage of the travelling public. Our aim is to work for the betterment of the trade as a stronger force.”
He further added that the new tie-up will aim to conduct training workshops and educational seminars along with addressing industry issues.
According to Biji Eapen, President, IAAI, “The travel and tourism industry is evolving and the various associations should come together and work for the fraternity. The partnership between the two associations is aimed to provide a platform to the travel community to raise their voice on issues affecting the industry. We are happy to work with our fellow industry partners. This is a positive move and we hope to work with other associations in the near future.”
