South Asia biggest B2B travel expo, SATTE recently conducted a tree plantation drive with a motive to contribute towards a greener planet. The teams of both SATTE and MAD foundation together planted 1,500 plants, with a goal to plant 15,000 trees before the next edition of SATTE. SATTE 2024 scheduled on February 22-24, 2024 at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, Delhi NCR, India.
The main idea of the initiative is to encourage SATTE visitors & exhibitors to establish the essence of Green Tomorrow in the exhibition, travel & tourism industry. Focus was laid on the initiative’s motto ‘I pledge to Conserve Nature, Heritage & Travel responsibly.’ The event was organized in association with MAD foundation.
Commenting on the initiative, Pallavi Mehra, Sr. Group Director, Informa Markets in India, said, “Promoting sustainable behaviour, green future, cutting down on carbon footprint as well as creating resources that is long term and continues to tend to planet earth for a long time to come is at the core of SATTE and Informa Market in India. The initiative to plant 15,000 trees before SATTE 2024, is a continuation of our green mandate and we aim to send out a similar message to our exhibitors who are increasingly opting for green designs and such features in their booth.”
The team also took notes of other action points so as to prohibit print badges during the exhibition days and use digital badges in place. On the sidelines, SATTE is also creating a landing page where visitors can opt-in to use digital badges and can also get access to an informative virtual space to get all necessary updates and information on SATTE.
