One of South India’s largest conventions for travel and tourism, the Kerala Travel Mart (KTM), will be held this September, from 27 to 30.
The KTM is a specialised bi-annual event that brings together the entire travel and tourism fraternity of Kerala under the aegis of the Kerala Travel Mart Society. The entire business fraternity and entrepreneurs behind unique tourism products and services of Kerala participate in this event. According to Riaz Ahmed, President, Kerala Travel Mart Society, membership is open to any tourism service provider in Kerala, subject to approval by the Managing Committee.
KTM’s strength is reflected in the increasing participation of sellers and buyers. KTM 2012 will have 108 Tables, 296 modules and 12 houseboat parking bays and around 1500 buyers from almost 50 countries and other States in India are expected to attend.
KTM 2012 will have a few firsts. Registration of buyers and sellers has been online. There is also an online meeting scheduler of buyers with sellers. Bar coded badges will be issued to all the registered buyers and sellers.
Since it began in 2000, KTM has had five successful editions. The Kerala industry is confident that this year’s event will continue to contribute to the growing tourism industry in God’s Own Country!
