American road trips have long ranked among the best in the world and Hertz is launching a campaign in Asia to promote self-drive holidays in USA. The general use car rental brand is offering 15 per cent off rentals for all car groups in USA – including its sought-after Prestige, Adrenaline and Green Traveller Collections – from now until 31 July 2014. Thereafter, it will offer 10 per cent off all car groups, including the three collections, until 31 December 2014.
About 8.3 million people from Asia visited USA in 2012 and this is forecasted to grow almost 60 per cent by 2018. With its robust outbound leisure travel market, India is likely to be a key contributor to this growing number. Residents from India are expected to make some 7.9 million trips in 2014 and this is projected to rise to 16.5 million by 2020.
In fact, the increase in rentals for Hertz Collections was almost ten times more than the increase in rentals for standard cars by customers in India travelling to USA between 2012 and 2013.
