Close to Fifty Members participated in the walk organized on 7th April 2024
Indian Association of Tour Operators organized an Old Delhi Heritage & Food Walk on 7th April, 2024 to show their members the rich heritage and culture of Old Delhi dating back of Mughal Empire and British time as informed by Rajiv Mehra, President of IATO.
The initiative was taken by the IATO Sports, Recreation and Culture Committee under the supervision of Sanjay Razdan, Hony. Secretary and EC Liaison and Ravi Shankar Singh, Convener of the committee supported by the committee members Sunil Mishra, Harish Mathur, P. Vijayasarathy, Deepak Manwani and was conducted by Sudhir Joshi and Nishta Joshi of Walkathon Tours.
Almost 50 Members of IATO had joined for the Heritage walk, divided into two groups. The walk commenced from Jama Masjid, Gate no. 3, they walked through the narrow lanes of Kinari Bazaar and towards Chandni Chowk, Sis Ganj Gurudwara, continued to Town Hall and concluded at Khari Baoli Spice market. E- rickshaws were arranged back to Jama Masjid.
During the walk, members indulged in Old Delhi delicacies such as Samosa Jalebi at the renowned Jalebi Wala, Bedmi Poori, Chole with Lassi at the famous Shiv Mishtan Bhandar and Chole Bhature and Rabri Falooda at Gianis, according to their preferences. All the members thoroughly enjoyed the heritage walk and enjoyed the Indian delicacies.
