The 45-guestrooms property is set to open in the first half of 2025
IHG Hotels & Resorts will introduce its Vignette Collection brand to Spain following an agreement with Prevario Banyols and Hotel Collection International.
Vignette Collection Mallorca – Finca Banyols illustrates IHG’s growth in Spain, adding to the line of nine luxury and lifestyle hotels in the country. The hotel joins a growing portfolio of Vignette Collection properties around the world, which is set to reach 100 hotels in 10 years.
Poised to open in the first half of 2025, the 45-guestrooms property will be located in the historical destination of Alaró, Mallorca – the largest of Spain’s Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean Sea.
The hotel is surrounded by vineyards and olive trees and will provide distinctive cuisine offering a causal restaurant, bar and a signature fine-dining restaurant. The hotel will also feature spa treatment rooms and one indoor and one outdoor pool, as well as substantial events space.
Willemijn Geels, Vice President, Development, Europe, IHG Hotels & Resorts, commented: “It is thanks to the trust of our partners Prevario Banyols and Hotel Collection International, who believe in IHG’s diverse portfolio and the power of our enterprise – that we can bring the first Vignette Collection property to Spain. As one of our key growth markets in Europe, we are thrilled to see our continued expansion in the country through new brands in new locations.”
She further added, “As our luxury conversion brand, Vignette Collection introduces a new offering to Spain which allows owners to retain the independent identity and character of their hotels, whilst providing guests with a one-of-a-kind stay. I look forward to seeing Vignette Collection Mallorca – Finca Banyols join our growing Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in Europe and further accelerate the presence of our brands in the region.”
Antonio Juan Baker Schreyer owner of Prevario Banyols, said: “We are delighted to be partnering with IHG to bring the first Vignette Collection property to Spain and provide guests with an immersive and personalised experience. Finca Banyols is our first hotel and for that reason we wanted IHG, which has built a reputation for creating exceptional luxury destinations around the world, which is why we were confident in bringing the Vignette Collection to Spain.”
