He was speaking during a massive tree plantation program organised on World Environment Day on June 5 in collaboration with Eco Tourism Development Board. He said the natural sites and tourism facilities are being developed to give a push.
According to Prakhar Mishra, Director, Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department, there are immense possibilities of eco-tourism in UP. “To give a further push, natural sites and tourism facilities are being developed in the state. With many forest sanctuaries and bird sanctuaries in UP, there is immense potential to make it a favourite destination providing peace amidst nature,” he stated.
Mishra was speaking during a massive tree plantation program organised on World Environment Day on June 5 in collaboration with Eco Tourism Development Board. In this program, along with making the local citizens aware about the environment, a resolution was also taken to plant about 10,000 plants in Lucknow city. People were sworn in to plant trees.
As per the tourism board, the plantation is being done with the aim of reducing the rising temperature of the earth. On the occasion yesterday, the tree plantation program was organised at Awadh Village, Malukpur, Kisan Path, Lucknow in collaboration with Eco Tourism Development Board, Uttar Pradesh and White Turtle.
