Reinforcing its commitment of growth in the domestic market, IndiGo Airlines has announced the addition of Kozhikode as its 32nd domestic and 37th overall destination in its network. The 2015 schedule introduces six new daily non-stop flights including new daily non-stop flights between Kozhikode and Dubai, daily non-stop flights between Kozhikode and Mumbai, daily flights between Kozhikode & Delhi (via Mumbai) and 15th daily non-stop flight between Delhi and Mumbai.
With this, effective 15 December 2014, 6E will also launch daily non-stop flight between Bengaluru and Dubai. This will be the very first International flight by the carrier out of Bengaluru. These new flights will further consolidate IndiGo’s position as the fastest growing airline in India and one of the fastest growing in South East Asian region.
Speaking on the launch of the ticket sale of new flights and the addition of the new destination, Aditya Ghosh, President, IndiGo said, “2014 has been a landmark year for us with us winning the prestigious Airbus Excellence Award – a first for an Indian airline – to placing our order of firm 250 A-320 and inducting our 100th aircraft. We are extremely pleased about adding Kozhikode as our 37th destination of operations.
