During an official press conference in Berlin, Dr. Mari Elka Pangestu, Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Republic of Indonesia, presented the performance of the Southeast Asian island-nation at the world’s leading travel trade show. From 6-10 March 2013, Indonesia will present itself as the official partner country of ITB 2013. At the Indonesian Pavilion in Hall 26, visitors can experience the cultural and natural diversity of the island nation. In addition to the classic program, the ITB Book Award 2013 will be awarded in the Indonesian pavilion on 8 March. Two trips for two people each to Indonesia can be won in the raffle being provided by the partner country via the ITB lottery on 9 and 10 March.
Traditional dances and musical performances of various regions give insight into the different languages and cultures of the island nation. Culinary delights offer a taste of Indonesia’s diverse cuisine. The theme of wellbeing will be represented at the Indonesian ITB pavilion, as the ‘wellness culture’. The booth will also reflect the central idea of the newly implemented Indonesian tourism-campaign: ‘Wonderful Indonesia. The World’s Heart of Wonders’.
