To increase fleet size by 300% to meet rising demand in the West India region. To add 100 washroom-equipped buses on witnessing growth with an average occupancy rate of 98%.
IntrCity SmartBus announces its expansion in West India, focusing on Mumbai and Pune. The brand plans to add 50 more routes in the region. This strategic move is driven by a substantial 60% surge in demand this summer holiday season compared to last year. The West region, which includes Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Goa, has been at the forefront of this growth with an average occupancy rate of 98%.
The company is set to increase its fleet size by 300% within the year to meet this rising demand and enhance travel connectivity in these dynamic regions. Additionally, it will add 100 washroom-equipped buses in the west, significantly enhancing convenience and comfort for travelers. Recently, exclusive boarding lounges were launched in Mumbai, Pune, Goa, and Indore. More boarding lounges are planned for introduction in the next quarter.
Commenting on the expansion, Dharmesh Kumar, Regional Head (West) at IntrCity SmartBus, said, “We are delighted by the significant increase in demand in the vibrant West region. Our dedication to offering safe, comfortable, and reliable travel options remains steadfast. Expanding our presence in Mumbai and Pune is a strategic effort to meet our customers’ evolving needs and ensure seamless connectivity throughout West India.”
