The ITC Grand Chola was awarded the ‘Best Business Hotel’ at the third Annual Lonely Planet Magazine Travel Awards 2014. The winner was selected through an online readers’ poll conducted by the magazine. The awards recognise the best travel experiences, service providers, the preferred places to stay and the destinations Indians most love to visit.
Receiving the award on behalf of the hotel, Ranvir Bhandari, Vice President-South & General Manager, ITC Grand Chola said, “We’re most proud of being chosen through an independent poll, by the readers themselves; a testimony of their endorsement of ITC Hotels’ brand of service excellence based on the guiding premise of our ethos of ‘Responsible Luxury.”
This award follows a series of accolades that ITC Grand Chola has garnered since ITC opened the hotel in late 2012. Accredited as the World’s Largest LEED Platinum Certified Luxury Hotel, the hotel has been recognised by Conde Nast Traveller as the ‘Best Leisure Hotel’, featured on the international Travel + Leisure 2012 best new hotels ‘IT List’ and Best Luxury Premier Hotel by Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI), among others.
