Ixigo has announced its first-ever ‘Super Value Hotel Awards’ to recognize the best premium budget hotels across 18 Indian cities. In November last year, ixigo had launched Super Value Hotels by curating 2500 budget hotels across 80 cities in India with room-rates ranging from Rs. 599 to Rs. 2499 by choosing the more reliable ones in terms of a good overall experience and a minimum set of amenities such as clean beds, air-conditioning, TV, a good location, room-service, breakfast, wi-fi and more.

We looked at multiple attributes for each and every hotel from a curated set of 2500 super value hotels across 18 cities and narrowed down to just 180 hotels for the Super Value Hotel Awards. The team ran through a comprehensive checklist that covered guest reviews & ratings, amenities and comfort provided to guests, cleanliness and hygiene standards, location, service quality, wi-fi, provision of air conditioning, TV and breakfast options. The list of winners for 2015-2016 includes a mix of independent hotels and select properties of branded budget hotel chains such as Oyo rooms, Wudstay, Vista Rooms, etc.”
