Jet Airways, India’s premier international airline, has launched Bengaluru’s maiden international flight to the Gulf, connecting India’s IT Hub with Abu Dhabi. The new route from the garden city is Jet Airways’ first international flight from Bengaluru to the Gulf.
The launch of Jet Airways inaugural service at Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru was marked by a multi faith prayer followed by the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Raghavendra H Auradkar, Police Commissioner, Bengaluru; Mahesh Joshi, Additional Director General, Doordarshan, New Delhi & South zone; John Kottayil, Executive Director, State of Bavaria (Germany); M L Shanmukh, Director, HR–Bharat Electronics; Jayant Venkatesh Nadiger, Trade Commissioner, Flanders; Hari Marar, President Airport Operations, KIAL; Gaurang Shetty, Sr. Vice President – Commercial, Jet Airways, and members of the travel trade, graced the occasion.
Flight 9W 504 departed from Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru at 2030 hrs, and arrived at the Abu Dhabi International Airport at 2330 hrs (LT). On the return leg, the flight 9W 503 will depart Abu Dhabi at 1030 hrs (LT) and arrive in Bengaluru at 1620 hrs.
To celebrate the launch of this flight, Jet Airways has announced a special return Economy introductory fare of Rs. 21,725/- (including taxes) for guests travelling on the Bengaluru-Abu Dhabi sector, while the return Première introductory fare for the same sector is INR 42,440 (including taxes).This new flight will further strengthen Jet Airways’ growing international network in the Gulf region, enhancing flight connectivity beyond Abu Dhabi to immediate Gulf countries and to destinations in North America, Africa and Europe.
Furthermore, the evening departure of this flight will allow guests to make convenient and seamless connections from several southern destinations on the airline’s domestic network to Abu Dhabi and beyond, via Bengaluru.
