Kenya has scooped up the top award as the ‘World’s Leading Safari Destination’ at the World Travel Awards 2015 which were held in Morocco last week. Alongside the safari win, Kenya also won the ‘World’s Responsible Tourism’ award, and a series of awards in the Africa category including the below.
Facing stiff competition from the likes of South Africa, Botswana and Zambia, Kenya secured a firm win as the ‘Leading Safari Destination’ through its rich wildlife and huge range of national parks, reserves and safari operators/lodges. Playing host to one of the most well-known national reserves in the world, the Maasai Mara also sees one of the wonders of the world, the Great Wildebeest Migration take place each year during July – October.
