‘Karnataka Tourism Forum’ (KTF), Karnataka’s biggest congregation of Tourism stakeholders present ‘Destination Karnataka’, is organising a one-day roadshow for the travel-trade in Mumbai on 13 June 2014 at ‘The Hyatt Regency’. The roadshow will bring together several leading travel and hospitality partners and specialists from diverse destinations within Karnataka.
The past roadshows in Gujarat, Chennai and Pune have witnessed record participation. The Mumbai roadshow will provide an opportunity for travel partners in Mumbai and Maharashtra to interact and do business with partners from tourism destinations of Karnataka under one roof. The event will showcase important travel segments such as adventure and wildlife destinations, boutique hotels and resorts, homestays, MICE hotspots, Spa and Wellness centres, luxury, experiential travel and many more. Orange County Resorts, one of India’s leading leisure and holiday experience brands will be the main sponsor for the Mumbai roadshow.
Giving an insight on the roadshow series, Sanjar Imam, Vice President, Karnataka Tourism Forum said, “Drawing destination comparisons are clichéd and inconsequential. However, there has now been almost a chronic call for creating awareness of the wholesomeness of Karnataka as a destination. Through a series of roadshows across India over the past couple of years on a B2B platform, it has been KTF’s endeavour to acquaint tourism stake holders in other States with the myriad experiences that Karnataka offers the traveller. We are particularly excited about the next KTF Road Show in Mumbai and we will ensure it is our best one yet!”
CB Ramkumar, President, Karnataka Tourism Forum added, “Until now, all our roadshows have been Bangalore centric – hotels and travel agents from Bengaluru. However, as the Karnataka Tourism Forum, our interest is also to ensure that all other parts of Karnataka are also focussed upon as they are interesting tourism destinations with interesting tourism products. Some of these destinations are filled with players who are either too small, or are not sure of the benefits of attending the road shows. So to promote destinations and products that are unique to Karnataka, KTF has encouraged and incentivised participants from Mysore, Chikamagalur and Coorg Homestays.”
