In an effort to enhance the European & Mediterranean experience for their clients, a group of eight travel agents travelled through Portugal after their business visit to ILTM 2013 in Cannes. The familiarisation visit to the picturesque and historic cities of Portugal was organised by Portuguese DMC ‘Oasis Travels’ in association with local hotel and resort chains.
The group explored the history, culture, lifestyle and diverse Portuguese cuisine whilst traveling through the cities of Lisbon, Aveiro, Porto, Coimbra, Cascais, Sintra and the religious shrine at the city of Fatima. During their eight day visit, the group was introduced to hotels, resorts and restored palaces in addition to tour excursions that would enhance the experience of Indian families during their summer break. The group also explored destinations, hotels and restored palaces that would attract Indian wedding and honeymoon segments.
