In preparation for the Hajj season, Qatar Airways will operate additional flights to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from Tuesday, 8 October through Sunday, 20 October. The additional flights will meet the increased demand by customers who will be travelling during this time for pilgrimage or business. Commenting on this move, Akbar Al Baker, CEO, Qatar Airways said, “It pleases us to offer more travel options to Jeddah during the Hajj season this year. We wish pilgrims to holy Mecca a wonderful experience.”
Airports in the region are expected to receive a surge of pilgrims travelling to Mecca this year. To ensure a safe and comfortable experience, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has heavily invested in expanding and developing its facilities and processes, hence the allowance for additional flights.
Furthermore, on 2 October, Qatar Airways will launch its sixth destination in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ta’if. The airline currently provides services to Dammam, Jeddah, Medina, Qassim, and Riyadh.
