Rising Star Tours & Travels looks to create a platform where one disabled community becomes the support system of another community of differently disabled. Currently, the group organises tours for differently-abled travellers, especially Visually Impaired (VI).
Speaking about the plans Amit Jain Founder, Rising Star Tours and Travels said, “Since the first trip, we have received many queries for the Visually Impaired trips; people all over the country want us to continue conducting such tours. We took a pledge to change the life of at least 1000 VI people a year through travel. If all things fall into place, we will create a platform for people with disabilities to travel to even the farthest corner of the world with ease. It’s the vision of RSTT to create a platform where one disabled community becomes the support system of another community of differently disabled. Till date, we have organized four successful VI Trips and for the others to come we have a waiting list of more than 500 people.”
The group has witnessed close to 30 per cent growth in the outbound travel. The company is set to witness a double digit growth by end of the year.
Jain added, “We witnessed an increase of 20-30 per cent in outbound travel with destination awareness and high disposable income amongst the masses. Holiday tourism is on the rise as the working people seek frequent jaunts to relax. Interestingly, travellers are switching to business class to get a better travel experience from the very beginning of their journey. Looking at our quarterly earnings, we aim to register double-digit growth by the end of the current year. The upsurge in outbound tourism hints at potential growth and revenue. For this, we are strategically working with to expand our network in a close-knit to diversify our offerings and enhance our digital capabilities, edging out the competitors.”
The group is also now looking to focus on the MICE business. Also, Rising Star is looking to expand its portfolio by adding niche products.
Speaking about the plans he added, “MICE is one of the trends in the tourism industry that is driving revenue and growth while expanding the customer base. So, we will be focusing on MICE events as well to attract new customers as well as engaging and converting the existing ones into frequent travellers. Secondly, we will leverage the growth opportunities presented to us by growing outbound tourism. We might update our service portfolio with niche products such as group tours, solo tours, and women independent tours.”
Most of the customers for Rising Star come from Delhi-NCR and Bangalore followed by Mumbai and Ahmedabad. He added, “We target tier 2 cities such as Jaipur and Amritsar as these markets do account for a considerable contribution in India’s outbound travel. For this, we are strengthening RSTT’S digital presence as a majority of the target groups are tech-savvy.”
