Royal Caribbean International was named Best Cruise Operator at the 24th Annual TTG Travel Awards 2013 Ceremony in Bangkok, Thailand. Commenting on the occasion, Ratna Chadha, Chief Executive, TIRUN Travel Marketing-exclusive India representative of Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. said, “It is indeed an honour to win this major title for six consecutive years as this achievement highlights the consistent trailblazing first at-sea innovations, amenities and services of the brand. We hope to be consistent and in tune with changing times; we shall continue to deliver and make every voyage by sea unique for all our guests. This recognition, however, would not have been possible without the constant support of our travel partners who play a very significant role in our success story.”
Royal Caribbean has expanded its presence in Asia this year with the arrival of a second Voyager Class ship, Mariner of the Seas. Together with Voyager of the Seas, they are the largest and most innovative cruise ships based in the region. With their sheer size of 138,000 GRT each and signature features such as the Royal Promenade, ice skating rink and DreamWorks entertainment, the cruise brand aims to create a bigger wave of interest in cruising and redefine the cruising experience in Asia.
