Seychelles Tourism Board (STB) has appointed a new CEO effective from July. The Seychelles President, James Michel announced that Sherin Naiken, former Principal Secretary for Tourism will replace Elsia Grandcourt as the CEO of the Tourism Board.
Looking forward to the new challenges of her post,Naiken commented, “Our tourism industry has been very dynamic over the past few years. I fully intend to uphold the same level of commitment as my predecessor and build on the success of the past to ensure the industry’s expectations are met. After all, their success will be my success.”
The Seychelles Minister for Tourism and Culture, Alain St.Ange had earlier made the official announcement of the resignation of Grandcourt from the post of CEO of the Tourism Board. Grandcourt has been nominated for a high-level position in an international organisation.
Seychelles Islands has recently forayed into the Indian market. It appointed Mumbai-based Blue Square Consultants (BSC) as its official representative in India. With this appointment, Seychelles hopes to augment tourist arrivals and improve brand visibility in India.Lubaina Sheerazi, Head of Business Development, Blue Square Consultants said, “We welcome the appointment of the new STB CEO, Sherin Naiken.
