Travel and Meetings Society (TAMS) has launched of its incubator program for early to mid-stage travel startups. The program helps entrepreneurs further their business model and readies them for large scale investments free of charge.
Incubator participants will also connect with subject matter experts through a new mentor program. A specialized Advisory Fellows program helps aspiring investors learn basic investment strategies, and each 6-month incubator cycle will culminate in an investor showcase event.
The incubator is led and co-founded by Hansini Sharma, Corporate Travel Practice Lead at Acquis Consulting Group, and Suzanne Boyan, Meetings and Travel Manager at ZS. “It’s exciting to be part of the transformation our industry is going through right now by helping new companies and a diverse set of entrepreneurs build the next generation of travel solutions with guidance from the ever-growing and supportive TAMS experts and professionals,” Sharma says.
Co-Leader Boyan shares, “Now more than ever, we need to foster innovations and what better way than a free incubator led by two women from diverse backgrounds.”
Sharma and Boyan are joined by the rest of the founding members: Bala Chandran, Co-Founder and CEO at Lumo, Matt Griffin, Chief Product Officer at Traxo, Nicolas Graf, Associate Dean and Chair in Hospitality Management at New York University, Greeley Koch, Vice President Consulting at DigiTravel Consulting, and Mark Walton, Executive Vice President at Options Travel.
