Gearing up to celebrate its first formation day, Telangana has announced a slew of initiatives to fuel tourism. The celebrations, to be held from 2-6 June 2015, will involve a range of events that will showcase the history and culture of the State. Numerous venues in Hyderabad, along with the Telangana Bhawan in New Delhi, will be hosting events for the public, marking the maiden Telangana Formation Day celebrations.
To start with, the State has launched a “Hop on Hop off Service bus” to provide the tourists/ passengers visiting the state from various parts of the world and country with the best of Telangana. This service was launched by Chandulal Ajmera, Minister, Tourism and Culture, Telangana government on 30 May 2015.
To promote adventure tourism in the state, the Telangana State Tourism Development Corporation is organising a free rock climbing orientation training programme at the Rock Climbing School in Bhongir on the 3 and 4 June 2015. Furthermore, the Telangana Golf Association is hosting the first Interstate Golf Championship in Hyderabad at the Hyderabad Golf Association from 2-5 June 2015.
