Tent City to be set up in Jhusi for Maha Kumbh 2025

Jhusi is preparing a tent city for Maha Kumbh 2025, spanning 2.5 acres with 200 cottages. It will offer spiritual activities like yagya and bhajans, cultural events, and scenic river views, promising a unique and enriching experience for visitors

The preparations are in full swing for Maha Kumbh 2025, the world’s largest religious, cultural, and spiritual event, set to begin in six months. Extensive arrangements are being made to accommodate millions of devotees, by establishing tent cities, homestays, and hotels on a large scale. In Jhusi, a tent city spread across two and a half acres will feature 200 cottages, offering facilities in categories such as super deluxe, premium, and villa.

Rapid preparations are ongoing for Maha Kumbh, anticipating millions of devotees who will attend the fair. Comprehensive arrangements are being made for their bathing, meditation, worship, transportation, and accommodation needs. In addition to existing venues at Arail and Parade Ground in Sangam, a tent city will be set up in Jhusi, spanning 2.5 acres with 200 cottages. Tent cities in Jhusi and Arail will operate under Public-Private Partnership (PPP), while Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation will manage the one at Parade Ground, providing amenities comparable to a five-star hotel.

The state government is committed to making Maha Kumbh 2025 even grander and more spiritually enriching than previous events. Building on the success of the Kumbh in 2019, efforts are aimed at achieving global recognition for Maha Kumbh 2025, with a large congregation expected from across the country and around the world. Tourists are already seeking information on accommodations, including hotels and tents, well in advance.

The tent city will offer a spiritual atmosphere, complemented by activities such as yagya, discourses, bhajans, naturopathy, and cultural events, alongside views of the river and a variety of indigenous and local cuisines.

Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh emphasized the department’s commitment to enhance the tourism experience through this mega event. Essential infrastructure is being developed to ensure a seamless experience for devotees and tourists, with all facilities ready before Maha Kumbh begins. Extensive arrangements for accommodations, darshan, bathing, and other necessities aim to provide an unforgettable experience and showcase Uttar Pradesh’s infrastructure capabilities.
