The LaLiT New Delhi hosted Heads of State from Japan and Canada during the G20 Summit with warm traditional hospitality. The delegates hosted with European and Asian cuisines with the use of millets to promote ‘Shree Anna’.
The G20 Summit brought together leaders, diplomats, policymakers, and delegates from across the globe in New Delhi. The LaLiT New Delhi played host to His Excellency, Hon’ble Prime Minister of Japan, Fumio Kishida; and His Excellency, Rt. Hon’ble Justin Trudeau, Hon’ble Prime Minister of Canada.
The LaLiT New Delhi rolled out warm traditional hospitality, as the hotel was resplendent with Marigold flowers giving it a festive look and the lobby resonated with a piano performance played by a talented autistic team member Adwitya. The delegates were greeted with auspicious Aarti Tikka and Vaijanti Mala – a simple way to showcase deep respect. The Lalit team, comprising of members from LGBTQIA+, acid attack warriors and people with disabilities, extended a distinctly LaLiT welcome in Indian Sign Language to all delegates.
The culinary experts of The Lalit meticulously curated a menu that comprised of exquisite delicacies from the kitchens of their specialty restaurants – Baluchi and OKO. A special highlight was the use of millets in European and Asian cuisines to promote “Shree Anna” – the healthy millet and take forward the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modiji.
