To attract Indian families to visit New Zealand this summer, Tourism New Zealand (TNZ) announced their collaboration with Malaysia Airlines (MAS) to promote special travel deals starting from Rs 46,000. Indian arrivals have been on the rise to New Zealand and are currently tracking at 29,920 (+ 5.7 per cent) year end January 2013.
Announcing this partnership with Malaysia Airways, Mischa Mannix-Opie, Regional Manager – South & South East Asia at Tourism New Zealand said, “We are pleased to associate ourselves with Malaysia Airlines once again. The strong reputation and reach that Malaysia Airlines enjoys in India makes it the perfect airline to partner our family campaign. At Tourism New Zealand, we deliver a 100% Pure New Zealand Family Bonding experience – as the destination has something to offer to everybody across all age groups. It’s an ideal destination for a family vacation where each member can individually and collectively indulge in experiences and create memories for a lifetime.”
On the way to New Zealand, travellers also have an opportunity to stopover at Malaysia for a few days to explore the city at an additional nominal fee. Azahar Hamid, Regional Senior Vice President, South Asia & Middle East, Malaysia Airlines stated, “We are pleased to partner with TNZ again this year after a successful collaboration in 2012. Whilst India remains among the top five Asian countries for tourist arrivals in New Zealand, there is plenty of potential to increase in this aspect. Through the support of Tourism New Zealand, we will be offering attractive all inclusive return fares from New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai to Auckland, New Zealand for the Indian holiday seekers.”
