Yoga city will resonate with religious and cultural programs
The Uttarakhand Tourism Department is organizing the International Yoga Festival in the pilgrimage city of Rishikesh. The International Yoga Festival, which will take place from March 1–7, 2023, will give yoga aficionados the chance to discover the subtleties of the practise and to enjoy the unique experiences of wellbeing, peace of mind, and a healthy body. The yoga enthusiasts who come here will be able to discover many facets of yoga, health, and wellness. Also, they will be able to take in panoramic Ganga Aarti that will performed on the banks of the Ganges as well as high-octane cultural performances that combine music and dance.
The Yoga festival will be inaugurated on March 1 in the dignified presence of the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand Pushkar Singh Dhami and Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj and many other guests. There will be a weeklong joyful atmosphere in the pilgrimage city of Rishikesh with the beginning of this major event. Yoga enthusiasts will have a special chance to practise yoga under the instruction of renowned Yogacharyas Padmashree Shivanand, Padmashree Bharat Bhushan, and Padmashree Rajinikant.
In this eight-day festival, yoga teachers from renowned Indian yoga institutions such as the Isha Foundation, Art of Living, Ramamani Iyengar Smriti Yoga Sansthan, Kaivalyadhama, Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram, and Sivananda Yoga School will participate. These yoga schools will conduct yoga classes every day from 6 am to 7:30 am. The opening ceremony will feature a captivating drone show. This amazing drone show will display Uttarakhand’s geographic position.
