In order to provide accurate information about rooms to customers while booking hotels, roomsXML has recently launched room type matching, an online tool that offers customers to book room of his choice. The tool enables the customers to book room of his choice i.e. if a customer wants to book any particular suites, rooms facing seashore or garden, he or she can exactly book the same room.

“We have invested thousands of dollars and man-hours in building the feature that now displays the room types exactly as per the hotel’s very own room names. Each hotel has their own nomenclature to name a room. But hotel booking systems hardly retain the original name. So, instead of calling a ‘Rainbow Tower Ocean Front Corner Room’; other systems find it safe in showing the room simply as a ‘Corner Room. From a travel agent’s perspective, Room Type Matching not only removes the guess work whilst making a room booking, but also keeps their customers happy,” Prakash Bang, Managing Director, roomsXML, said. He further opined that a mismatch in the room type might cause inconvenience to the traveller as well as the travel agent.
