After the resounding success of its inaugural edition in 2023, the Aqua Cruise & Maritime Tourism Awards is gearing up for its second edition, slated to take place on March 15, 2024, at the Meluha, The Fern in Mumbai. Building upon its previous triumphs, this year’s event promises to be a more spectacular celebration of excellence in the cruise and maritime industry.
At the helm of this endeavor stands Capt. Anish Jaggi, Director of Aquarius Marine Services and Consultancy, whose unwavering dedication since 2016 has significantly contributed to the advancement of domestic cruising in India. With the upcoming networking and awards evening, Capt. Jaggi endeavors to further fortify his contributions and spotlight the burgeoning maritime educational tourism in India.
The primary ethos of the second edition is the recognition and celebration of the stalwarts in the cruise and maritime industry. Moreover, the event will draw spotlight on the invaluable contributions of women who have left an indelible mark on the cruise and maritime sector, both onshore and offshore. The Aqua Cruise & Maritime Tourism Awards 2024 promises to assure a platform where industry stakeholders gather to honor excellence, foster collaboration, and chart a course towards a brighter future for cruising and maritime tourism in India.
Sharing immense excitement, Capt. Jaggi mentions, “I am looking forward with great enthusiasm for the 2nd aqua cruise and maritime tourism award to be a successful event this time too like last year. These awards have been conceptualized with aim to encourage and promote cruising (international, domestic and river cruising) in India, in accordance with PM Narendra Modi vision of ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ and promoting maritime educational tourism (maritime academies, ports, lighthouse tourism etc) in India and promoting awareness and imparting knowledge about the maritime industry and possibility of future employment generation. Dignitaries from the Govt and private sector will be attending the grand award function to encourage the budding entrepreneurs and promoting women in the industry.”
