The Uttar Pradesh Eco-Tourism Development Board is organizing an art and craft competition to raise awareness about eco-tourism and promote wildlife conservation in the state. Students from various schools and colleges across the state will participate, emphasizing the importance of preserving wildlife and natural habitats. The competition will consist of multiple rounds, with the initial round identifying the top 10 performers.
The top 10 performers will be awarded during the ceremony on August 25th.In line with the board’s vision, around 250 students from various schools in Lucknow will participate in the upcoming art and craft competition. The competition will not only showcase the beauty of Dudhwa National Park and Pilibhit Tiger Reserve but also show innovative ideas on how wildlife can be protected.
Uttar Pradesh Tourism and Culture Minister, Jaiveer Singh, said “UP is blessed with beautiful landscapes, rivers, waterfalls, and a vast forest area covering over 16,582 square kilometres. The presence of endangered species, both flora and fauna, makes our state a haven for nature lovers. Our aim is to ensure that tourists not only visit these wildlife destinations but also spend quality time enjoying them”.
The minister also highlighted the initiatives of the UP Eco-Tourism Development Board, chaired by the Chief Minister, which is dedicated to the exploration and holistic development of eco-tourism in the state. The board continues to enhance tourist facilities at eco-tourism sites, ensuring visitors leave with a memorable and unique experience.
