Karma Lakelands announces its inclusion in the prestigious “25 Best Projects of Steward Leadership Excellence” in the Asia-Pacific region. This recognition by the esteemed Stewardship Asia Centre, in collaboration with INSEAD, honors initiatives that prioritize sustainable leadership and drive profitable growth by addressing the challenges that threaten humanity.

The ceremony held in Singapore last week, was attended by the founder and CEO (Chief Eternal Optimist) Ashwani Khurana and Diki Bhutia, Director Environment Sustainability. Karma Lakelands was presented with the award for its unwavering dedication to environmental sustainability, community engagement, and responsible stewardship.

Kiran Bedi, former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, the keynote speaker at the Steward Leadership Summit 2024 was the guiding light since 1996 for what is now the successful Karma Lakelands composting initiative.

In his remarks, Khurana expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating that his team is committed to building a future that nurtures both people and the planet, and this inspires us to continue pushing the boundaries of purposeful leadership.

Looking ahead, Karma Lakelands has ambitious plans to expand its sustainability efforts through the development of the Sobha Aranya Eco-Luxe Residences, within Karma Lakelands campus, a luxury conscious community of Residences spanning 31 acres in partnership with Sobha Developers. The project is designed to uphold the same eco-conscious values that Karma Lakelands embodies, with sustainable practices integrated into every aspect of the development. In collaboration with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), Karma Lakelands is also working towards becoming a carbon net-neutral resort by 2030.
