The journey began in Prague, where participants explored the city’s rich history, culture, and luxurious hotels, visiting landmarks like Old Town Square and Prague Castle, along with a scenic evening cruise on the Vltava River. The group then travelled to the Central Bohemian region, discovering locations ideal for luxury weddings and celebrations, such as Savoia Castle, Chateau Zámek Ratměřice, and Chateau Louceň.

These venues, all within an hour’s drive from Prague, are said to offer stunning settings for European weddings that appeal to Indian guests and planners. The trip highlighted the variety of opportunities Czechia offers for destination weddings, group events, and celebrations. Participants also experienced the seamless transition from autumn to winter and explored the connectivity and service levels of properties and venues across the country.

“Indian weddings are known for their grandeur, tradition, and unique experiences. Czechia perfectly blends these with historic venues, luxury hospitality, and vibrant cultural heritage. Beyond Prague, Czechia offers something for every traveler, from history to art to shopping and gastronomy, making it an ideal week-long destination,” said Barbara Andelova, International Markets Manager of CzechTourism.

“This FAM trip aimed to showcase how Czechia can meet the needs of Indian celebrations, creating unforgettable events and offering a wide range of activities to explore”, said Barbara Andelova – International Markets Manager of CzechTourism, who led the FAM trip.

“FAM trips are an invaluable way for agents and planners to truly understand a destination, as they allow them to experience the offerings firsthand. Educational trips provide personal experiences, facilitate direct networking, and help put faces to names, leading to stronger business relationships. We aim to create more experiential educational opportunities for Indian travel agents and event planners, helping them promote Czechia’s diverse offerings and unlock its full potential for various travel groups.”, said G B Srithar, Head of Tourism Services, VFS Global.
