The Ascott Limited (Ascott) announces the appointment of Rohan Rakendath as Area General Manager, India. Rakendath joins the Ascott International Management team, India following his successful tenure at Ascott International Management (MEA) in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In the new role, Rakendath will develop strategic growth plans in-line with consumer trends, as well as put more focus on developing next-generation leaders for running a responsible and sustainable business. Rohan will supervise the broader leadership agenda in its existing portfolio of hotels representing the brand in Chennai, as well as both the pre-opening and development of all the new properties across India. His past stints include working with Marriott International MEA, Intercontinental Hotel Group EMEA and The Ascott Limited.
