Following a successful year of presence in the India market, Gold Coast Tourism hosted a yacht party for it’s travel trade partners in Mumbai last week. The yacht theme party was an attempt to showcase Gold Coast’s lifestyle to the attending trade. Gordon Price, Director – International Marketing, Gold Coast Tourism; Ricky Dunn, Account Executive – Asia and India, Gold Coast Business Events; and Ashish Bhandari, Business Development Manager – India, Gold Coast Tourism welcomed the guests.
India has been steadily growing as a source market for both Queensland and the Gold Coast region. Speaking with the media on the sidelines of the party, Price revealed that, over the next one year, Gold Coast Tourism will increase its efforts in digital marketing, and are even mooting appointing a digital marketing representative in India.
